his museum on Freedom Square is dedicated a political organisation that was key to Estonia’s regaining its independence in 1991. Established for the 25th anniversary of the Popular Front, it preserves and displays items that are important to understanding the course of Soviet Estonia's push for liberation.
Through exploring the slogans, symbols and emblems of the independence movement, the visitor gets a general understanding of that crucial period of the nation's history. The permanent exhibition features an extensive photo wall, manuscripts and documents, as well as film clips and music that characterise the revolutionary times of a quarter of a century ago.
